Daiso Seoul Guide: Store Hours, Tax Refund and How to Find Beauty Items
The six Daiso Seoul stores I compared in Myeongdong, Hongdae and Gangnam all list 10:00 to 22:00 opening hours and a tax refund mark on Daiso’s own store finder. That finder only works in Korean, so I’ve put the Korean names below to copy. To find a beauty item, look it up on Daisomall’s stock page, which shows the floor.
Daiso (다이소) is Korea’s budget variety chain. The six stores below are the ones I compared on the finder, not every store with beauty shelves. I couldn’t find an official floor guide for beauty, so the stock page is the route.

Checked November 3, 2026 on Daiso’s official store finder. English names are my own spelling of the Korean ones. Customer-service line for every store: 1522-4400, weekdays 9:00 to 18:00.
By floor count, the Myeongdong Station store is the biggest of the six, with twelve floors above a basement. Whichever you choose, check the stock page before you set out.
How do you find a beauty item’s floor?
Daisomall, Daiso’s official shopping site, has a store stock page. Each product there carries an item number (품번) and a button that finds stores selling it. It worked for me without logging in.
- Open the stock page and pick the item. Copy its item number if you want to call a store later.
- Press the find-stores button, close the location pop-up, and type the Korean store name from the table above.
- Read the result: stock status, floor and a location number.
- Treat it as a guide. The page warns that its stock may differ from the real shelf.
My test case was a VT PDRN sheet mask. At the Myeongdong Station store the page showed 2F, location number 1, and marked it temporarily sold out. That is one item on one evening, not a map of the store.
Daiso’s FAQ says stock varies by store, so a store can be out of something another one has. Beauty is also a category on the stock page, so you can browse it before you go.
What does the tax refund mark mean at Daiso?
Every Daiso Seoul store in the table has a tax refund (택스리펀드) mark on the finder. The stock page uses a “tax refund supported store” label. Neither screen says whether it is an instant refund or a later claim.
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) guide lists the minimum as ₩15,000 per purchase and says only select stores give an instant refund. You show your passport at the register and ask. Haamoni’s Korea tax refund guide covers the limits and the airport step.

Prices come from the first ten items of the new-arrivals list on Daisomall’s stock page, filtered to beauty, on November 3, 2026. Other beauty items can cost less or more. Rates are Frankfurter’s from November 2, 2026.
Below ₩15,000 a purchase doesn’t qualify, so for a couple of masks don’t plan around a refund.
What if it’s sold out, or you need to return it?
If a store doesn’t have an item, Daiso’s FAQ says its customer-service line will name a nearby store that does. Give the item number and name. The number is under the store table.
The English site shows the number with a +82 prefix. I couldn’t confirm that calls from abroad work or that English support is offered.
Daiso’s FAQ gives two weeks for both. An exchange needs your receipt, at the store you bought from or a nearby company-run store. A refund must happen at the same store, with the card too if you paid by card.
If you fly out soon, buy only what you’re sure about.

Tips from the official pages
- Keep the packaging intact until you’re sure. The FAQ says no exchange or refund if the item or its packaging was damaged through the customer’s carelessness.
- If an item looks defective, take it to the store you bought it from. The FAQ says staff there check it, and a confirmed defect is exchanged or refunded.
- Two stores have no station in their name. Paste their Korean addresses from the table into Naver Map or Google Maps.
Where would I start at a Daiso in Seoul?
I’d pick the Daiso nearest my hotel. That’s the store I’d have to go back to for a refund, so it saves a long trip.
I’d also look up two or three items on the stock page the evening before. It takes a minute and tells me which floor to head for.
