Centellian24 Madeca Cream: what 3 Korean YouTubers really think

Centellian24 Madeca Cream Review: Who Should Skip This Rich Cream?

Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse is one of Korea’s best-known creams, and it shows up in Korean YouTube videos all the time. But the creators who mention it don’t all agree on it, and that’s what makes it interesting. So I lined up three Korean YouTubers’ unsponsored takes, then checked them against the Korean label.

Here’s how I found them. I searched Korean YouTube for this cream over the last six months and set aside videos marked as paid promotion. That left 29 videos from 26 channels. Many were about the company’s stock or a TV shopping deal, so I kept the three that actually rate or use the cream.

Who talked about it, and what they said

CreatorContextVerdict
Arang (아랑), 500K subscribersOlive Young sale tier listA-tier; best “first repair cream” pick
Doyoung (도영도영이), 970K subscribersSensitive skin, daily makeup prepHer regular cream; came back to it after a breakout
Swan (스완), 513K subscribersMen’s cream tier listLow grade for men under 40, too oily; fine for 40s and up

None of the three videos is marked as paid promotion. Swan’s channel shares shopping links that can earn a commission, which he discloses in the description.

Arang: a safe first repair cream

In her September Olive Young sale tier list, Arang gives the cream an A. She points out that it comes from Dongkook Pharmaceutical, the company behind the Madecassol wound-care medicine, and says the brand has backed it with human application tests. If someone wants one easy repair cream to start with, this is the one she’d name. She also warns that it feels a little oily, so she prefers it for autumn rather than summer.

Doyoung: the cream she went back to

Doyoung’s video is a makeup tutorial, but she opens with her skincare. She says this cream is part of the combination she uses most, along with a Mediheal serum. She tried switching to something new for variety, her sensitive skin broke out, and she went back to her usual routine. That’s one person’s experience, but it’s a strong vote for consistency from someone with reactive skin.

Swan: too rich for younger skin

Swan is the dissenting voice. In his 2026 tier list of 35 creams, he gives it one of his lower grades for his mostly male viewers in their teens to thirties. His reason is texture: he finds it too oily for younger skin, and says it can even leave skin feeling dry later on. However, he recommends it for people in their forties, and notes that it does take care of dryness.

Where they agree, and where they don’t

  • It’s rich. Both Arang and Swan call it oily. Arang saves it for cooler months, and Swan steers younger men away from it.
  • It suits mature or sensitive skin. Arang names it as a starter repair cream, Doyoung relies on it for sensitive skin, and Swan recommends it from the forties up.
  • It’s not for everyone. If you have young, oily skin, Swan’s verdict is the one to weigh.
Centellian24 Madeca Cream card: what Korean creators said vs what the label shows

What the Korean label shows

The ingredient list comes from Olive Young Korea’s product information disclosure, matched to English INCI names with the MFDS ingredient database. It runs to more than 120 ingredients, which is long even for K-beauty.

Cosmetic, not medicine

First, a common mix-up. In Korea’s drug database, Madecassol gel and powder are over-the-counter medicines, and the ointment is a quasi-drug. Madeca Cream is neither. Its label lists it as a cosmetic that passed functional-cosmetic review. On a Korean pack, cosmetics say 화장품, while medicines say 일반의약품, so check the label if you only want skincare.

Checking the creators’ reasons

  • “It feels oily”: the label agrees. Hydrogenated polydecene, caprylic/capric triglyceride and beeswax make it a rich cream.
  • “Repair cream”: the centella part is real. Asiaticoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid are marked as active TECA, with madecassic acid printed at 4,800 ppm (0.48%). A 2013 review describes these compounds as studied for supporting skin repair, mostly in small studies.
  • Extras: niacinamide is the eighth ingredient, adenosine appears mid-list, and ceramide NP, panthenol and hyaluronic acid support hydration. Retinol and sodium DNA (PDRN) come near the end, so they’re small amounts.

The part none of them mentioned

The end of the list is full of essential oils, including orange, lavender, bergamot, rosemary, jasmine, rose and geranium. It also lists limonene, linalool and citral, fragrance components some people react to. None of the three creators brought this up. Still, if your skin is fragrance-sensitive, it’s the main caution. Patch test first, and check with a dermatologist if you’re pregnant or unsure.

Centellian24 Madeca Cream price: Korea vs Olive Young Global

WhereWhat you getList priceSale price

Olive Young Global50 ml set with two 15 ml tubes and 3 masksUS$44.00US$24.20
Olive Young Global50 ml double pack with two 15 ml tubesUS$88.00US$41.10

Prices were checked on October 26, 2026, using the ECB reference rate from October 23. Olive Young Korea showed a 4.9 rating from 9,732 reviews. Unusually, the global sale set was cheaper than the Korean list price that day, and it included extras. So compare both before you buy in Seoul.

Who it’s likely to suit

Put the creators and the label together, and the picture is clear. It’s a rich centella cream that suits dry, mature and sensitive skin, especially in autumn and winter. Younger, oily skin may find it heavy, as Swan did. Fragrance-sensitive skin should be careful with the essential oils.

Looking for a fragrance-free option instead? Five creators recommended Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream for sensitive skin. For a lighter centella step, see the Mediheal Madecassoside Derma Serum.

The short version

Korean YouTubers split on Centellian24 Madeca Cream: Arang rates it a solid first repair cream and Doyoung relies on it for sensitive skin, while Swan finds it too oily for men under 40. The label confirms a rich formula with real centella actives, plus many essential oils to watch.
